Job summary

Aegis Therapies in Kapolei, HI is hiring a Restorative CNA - Wellness Instructor to join the Rehab Therapy Team. This full-time role reports to the Director of Rehabilitation and focuses on delivering wellness, fitness, and exercise programs with the therapy team.

You will receive full restorative training on-site and use EnerG wellness concepts to enhance patient health. CNA certification is required, with preferred specialty fitness credentials.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Current certification as Certified Nursing Assistant / CNA in state of practice.
• Specialty certification as personal trainer, exercise specialist, fitness instructor or similar.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work with the therapy team to provide wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
• Receive full restorative training onsite. No restorative experience required beyond CNA certification.
• Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed.
• Perform exclusive restorative responsibilities (ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, ROM, dressing/grooming) with limited other CNA tasks.

As a CNA/Wellness Instructor for Restorative Care, you will:

• Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work exclusively with the therapy team to provide knowledge and expertise in delivering appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
• Receive full restorative training provided onsite. No restorative experience necessary, (CNA Certification Required)
• Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed.
• Exclusive restorative responsibilities (Ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, splint/prosthesis care) with limited or none of the "less desirable" tasks that often accompany a CNA position.
