Job summary

Aegis Therapies, a leading provider of rehabilitation and wellness services, is hiring a Wellness Instructor in Restorative Care to join our supportive team. You will work with the rehab therapy team to deliver wellness and exercise programs, and receive training onsite.

CNA certification is required, and prior restorative experience is not necessary. We offer a patient-centered environment, ongoing training, and strong clinical support, with opportunities across multiple settings nationwide.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Current certification as Certified Nursing Assistant / CNA in state of practice.
• Specialty certification as personal trainer, exercise specialist or fitness instructor preferred.
• Background in exercise and activity training with senior populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide wellness, fitness and exercise programs with the therapy team.
• Receive full restorative training onsite.
• Assist in restorative care of patients as directed.
• Handle exclusive restorative responsibilities (ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, ROM, dressing).

Job Type: PRN Schedule: As needed - weekend coverage Setting: Rehabilitation Center, Skilled Nursing Facility, Senior Care Wellness Location: Newburgh, IN

As a CNA/Wellness Instructor for Restorative Care, you will:

• Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work exclusively with the therapy team to provide knowledge and expertise in delivering appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
• Receive full restorative training provided onsite.
• No restorative experience necessary, (CNA Certification Required)
• Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed.
• Exclusive restorative responsibilities (Ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, splint/prosthesis care) with limited or none of the “less desirable” tasks that often accompany a CNA position.
