Job summary

Aegis Therapies is seeking a Wellness Instructor in Restorative Care to join the Rehab Therapy Team at Magnolia, TX. This PRN role involves delivering wellness, fitness, and exercise programs within a skilled nursing setting.

You will work under the Director of Rehabilitation, receive on-site restorative training, and support restorative care for patients. CNA certification is required, with high school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Current CNA certification in state of practice.
• Specialty certification as personal trainer / fitness instructor, preferred.
• Background in exercise and activity training with senior populations, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work with the therapy team to deliver wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
• Receive full restorative training provided onsite.
• Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed.
• Exclusive restorative responsibilities (ambulation, transfers, bed mobility, ROM, dressing/grooming, prosthesis care) with limited tasks from CNA roles.

Role Responsibilities

• Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work exclusively with the therapy team to provide knowledge and expertise in delivering appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
• Receive full restorative training provided onsite.
• No restorative experience necessary, (CNA Certification Required)
• Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed.
• Exclusive restorative responsibilities (Ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, splint/prosthesis care) with limited or none of the “less desirable” tasks that often accompany a CNA position.
