Job summary

Aegis Therapies in Magnolia, TX is seeking a Part Time Restorative CNA Wellness Instructor to join the Rehab Therapy Team. This role supports wellness, fitness and exercise programs for residents, with restorative care duties and on-site training provided.

The ideal candidate holds a CNA certification, a high school diploma, and has or is pursuing a specialty fitness certification. You will work up to 20 hours weekly, including weekend coverage, focusing on patient-centered wellness.

Qualifications

• CNA certification required in state of practice.
• Specialty certification as personal trainer or fitness instructor preferred.
• Background in exercise and activity training with seniors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Director of Rehabilitation and work with the therapy team on wellness programs.
• Assist in delivering wellness, fitness and exercise programs for residents.
• Receive restorative training onsite and perform exclusive restorative responsibilities as directed.
• Support ambulation, transfers, bed mobility and ROM as part of restorative care.

As a CNA/Wellness Instructor for Restorative Care, you will: Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work exclusively with the therapy team to provide knowledge and expertise in delivering appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs. Receive full restorative training provided onsite. No restorative experience necessary, (CNA Certification Required) Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed. Exclusive restorative responsibilities (Ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, splint/prosthesis care) with limited or none of the “less desirable” tasks that often accompany a CNA position.

Qualifications
