Job summary

Aegis Therapies is seeking a Restorative CNA - Wellness Instructor to join the Rehab Therapy Team in a skilled nursing/rehabilitation setting. You will work with therapy staff to deliver wellness, fitness and exercise programs and provide restorative care to patients.

No restorative experience is required beyond CNA certification, as onsite training will be provided. This PRN weekend position emphasizes flexible scheduling while contributing to patient well-being and recovery.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in the state of practice.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: specialty certification as personal trainer, exercise specialist or fitness instructor.
• Background in exercise and activity training with seniors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver wellness, fitness and exercise programs with the rehab therapy team.
• Receive full restorative training onsite.
• Assist in restorative care as directed (ambulation, transfers, ROM, dressing, etc.).
• Engage patients while performing exclusive restorative tasks with minimal unrelated duties.

Job Type: PRN Schedule: As needed - weekend coverage Setting: Rehabilitation Center, Skilled Nursing Facility, Senior Care Wellness Location: Killeen, TX Aegis Therapies, one of the nation’s leading providers of rehabilitation and wellness services, is hiring a Wellness Instructor in Restorative Care to join our supportive team and reap the benefits of some of the best career advantages in the industry.

As a CNA/Wellness Instructor for Restorative Care, you will:

• Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work exclusively with the therapy team to provide knowledge and expertise in delivering appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
• Receive full restorative training provided onsite.
• No restorative experience necessary, (CNA Certification Required)
• Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed.
• Exclusive restorative responsibilities (Ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, splint/prosthesis care) with limited or none of the “less desirable” tasks that often accompany a CNA position.
