Job summary

Aegis Therapies is hiring a Wellness Instructor for Restorative Care to join our rehab therapy team in Hale Kupuna Heritage Home, Koloa, HI. You will deliver wellness, fitness and exercise programs under supervision from the Director of Rehabilitation, with on-site restorative training provided.

No restorative experience is required beyond CNA certification; the role focuses on restorative tasks with senior patients and growth opportunities across care settings nationwide.

Qualifications

• CNA certification required in state of practice.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Specialty certification as personal trainer or fitness professional preferred.
• Background in exercise and activity training with senior populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver wellness, fitness and exercise programs with the therapy team.
• Receive restorative training onsite.
• Assist in restorative care: ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, ROM, dressing.
• Collaborate with therapy staff to provide optimal patient care.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: 40 hours per week

Setting: Senior Care, Wellness, Restorative, Rehabilitation

Location: Hale Kupuna Heritage Home - Koloa, HI 96756

Pay: $17 to $22 per hour

As a Wellness Instructor for Restorative Care, you will:

• Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work exclusively with the therapy team to provide knowledge and expertise in delivering appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
• Receive full restorative training provided onsite.
• No restorative experience necessary, (CNA Certification Required)
• Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed.
• Exclusive restorative responsibilities (Ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, splint/prosthesis care) with limited or none of the “less desirable” tasks that often accompany a CNA position.
