Advocate Health Mount Pleasant is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant to support the Float Pool. This 24-hour-per-week day shift role requires every third weekend and rotating holidays, with responsibilities including assisting RNs with daily patient care, documentation in EMR, and patient comfort and safety.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, state nurse aide registration, and BLS certification within 45 days.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to set priorities.

Responsabilités

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, activity orders and ambulation.
• Document vital signs and patient data in EMR.
• Perform rounding and communicate observations to RN.
• Assist in admissions, transfers and discharges under RN supervision.
• Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing as indicated.
• Handle errands, stock nursing area, and maintain equipment and supplies.
• Position and transport patients with proper technique and assistive devices.
