Carolinas Medical Center is seeking a Nurse Aide to join the Nursing Float Pool on a part-time schedule. You will assist RNs with patient care, monitor vitals, and support admissions and discharges in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, current Nurse Aide credential, and BLS certification within 45 days. Night shifts, weekends, and holidays are included in the schedule, with a 24-hour per week commitment.

Qualifikationen

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Team members will maintain annual educational requirements for hospital-based certifications.
• Nurse Aide in good standing with the State Registry.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification must be obtained within 45 days.
• No experience required.

Aufgaben

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, feeding, mobility and ambulation.
• Record vital signs and intake/output; document in EMR.
• Conduct purposeful rounding and communicate observations to RN.
• Assist in admission, transfer and discharge processes.
• Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing as directed.
• Run errands and maintain nursing area supplies.
• Assist with patient positioning and mobility; support diet needs and tray setup.
• Maintain skin integrity and use compression devices as required.
• May remove IVs and provide post-mortem care per site requirements.
• Follow infection control policies and wear appropriate PPE.
• Care for patients across age groups per department standards.
