Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join the Nursing Float Pool in Mount Pleasant. This part-time role supports daily patient care, with a 24-hour per week schedule, including every third weekend and rotating holidays.

You will assist with activities of daily living, document vitals, and help with admissions and transfers under RN supervision. The position requires a Nurse Aide in good standing, BLS within 45 days, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED/HSED; annual educational requirements for hospital-based certifications.
• Experience: No experience required.
• Licensure: Nurse Aide (CNA) in good standing with the state registry; Basic Life Support (BLS) within 45 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care such as bathing, oral care, feeding, mobility, and transfers.
• Record vital signs, intake/output, daily weights, and other data per request.
• Document in EMR accurately and promptly.
• Perform rounds and communicate observations to RN.
• Assist with admissions, transfers and discharges, room setup and patient belongings management.
