Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, is seeking an IT Configuration Analyst, Junior to support CMDB accuracy across IT infrastructure and applications in a regulated federal environment.

You will collect, validate, and update configuration item records, assist with configuration audits and certifications, and help ensure data supports incident, change, and problem management, enabling reliable impact analysis and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent mix of education and experience.
• 0–3 years in IT operations, service or configuration management.
• Foundational ITIL CMDB concepts and lifecycle states.
• Hands-on experience with ITSM/CMDB tools.
• Current secret security clearance or higher.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and interpersonal skills with multitasking ability.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate CI records in the CMDB by collecting, verifying, and updating data for infrastructure, applications, and services.
• Perform day-to-day CMDB maintenance, reconcile discovery data, and resolve data conflicts.
• Assist with configuration audits and certifications, document discrepancies, and coordinate remediation.
• Use ITSM and CMDB tools to run queries and reports and support impact analysis for incidents, changes.
• Review change records and incident tickets to ensure CIs are correctly linked for traceability.
• Contribute to CMDB data quality metrics and corrective actions.
• Follow configuration governance practices to protect CMDB integrity and audit readiness.
• Collaborate with ITIL process owners to support stable IT services in a regulated environment.
