Job summary

DLA Piper is seeking an associate to join its finance group, structured finance subgroup, and focus on CMBS transactions. This position is open to all of our offices in the U.S.

Responsibilities include legal research, drafting contracts and briefs, and managing transactions from inception to closing, while collaborating with clients and colleagues to develop innovative strategies that lead to favorable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in the state in which they are officeing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough and comprehensive legal research to support case/transaction preparation and strategy.
• Draft well-written, error-free, and reasoned legal documents, including briefs, motions, contracts, and correspondence.
• Assist/manage complex cases/transactions from inception to resolution, including preparation for trials, negotiations, settlements, closings, and other legal activities while exercising sound judgement.
• Build and cultivate strong internal and external client relationships with timely updates, advice, and professional communication.
