Job summary

Planet Fitness - Fitton Clubs is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Club Manager in daily operations and member experience. The role focuses on leading front desk and cleaning staff, maintaining a clean and welcoming facility, and promoting the Judgement Free Zone philosophy.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and customer service skills, be able to obtain CPR/AED and tanning certifications, and work on-site with occasional off-site meetings.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must work onsite; this is not remote.
• Superior customer service skills fitness industry preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Hard working, enthusiastic and energetic.
• Obtain CPR/AED Certification within required timeframes.
• Obtain Tanning Certification within company required timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Support hiring, training, and performance management of team members.
• Supervise, train, and motivate front desk and cleaning staff to provide excellent member service.
• Lead by example to promote a positive and team-oriented work environment.
• Motivate and coach staff to ensure team performance meets company standards.
• Support staff scheduling and time management.
• Manage daily club operations, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and functionality.
• Enforce club policies and safety procedures.
• Perform front desk duties including answering phones and assisting callers
• Check in members and new member sign-ups; conduct tours for prospective members
• Handle member requests, issues, and questions; maintain facility cleanliness
• Monitor inventory and order supplies; provide shift coverage as needed
• Promote and maintain the 'Judgement Free Zone' philosophy; create welcoming atmosphere
• Resolve member concerns promptly and professionally.
