Job summary

Amfamfit is seeking an Assistant General Manager (AGM) to assist the General Manager in leading daily club operations, supporting membership sales, retention, and team development. The AGM partners with Department Heads and Regional Leadership to ensure operational excellence and exceptional customer service.

The AGM serves as Manager on Duty when the General Manager is unavailable and may assume interim General Manager responsibilities when necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Previous supervisory or management experience required.
• Fitness/health club, hospitality, retail, or service management experience preferred.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop employees.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Sales leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and business management software.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily club operations and ensure exceptional service.
• Serve as Manager on Duty in the absence of the General Manager.
• Ensure policies, safety standards, and protocols are followed.
• Foster a positive member-focused culture across the club.
• Collaborate with departments to ensure efficient operations.
• Attend meetings, training, and leadership development programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
