Job summary

Fitness Ventures LLC is seeking an Assistant General Manager (AGM) to support daily club operations, drive membership growth, and develop a high-performing team. You will lead with a focus on inclusive service, operational excellence, and member satisfaction across all departments.

As a key extension of the General Manager, you will supervise, coach, and recruit staff, oversee scheduling and payroll, and ensure compliance with policies while promoting a safe, welcoming environment for members

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum age 18 years.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• Experience in fitness, hospitality, retail or customer service preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager in creating and maintaining a culture of diversity, inclusion, acceptance, and member satisfaction.
• Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service and operational excellence.
• Supervise, coach, motivate, and develop team members to achieve individual and club performance goals.
• Foster a positive, collaborative work environment where team members can thrive.
• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training qualified team members.
• Demonstrate sound judgment and the ability to make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Assume leadership responsibilities and oversee all club operations in the absence of the General Manager.
• Lead and inspire the membership team to achieve sales goals and KPIs.
• Monitor sales performance and provide coaching to improve conversion rates and overall effectiveness.
• Ensure accurate lead management, follow-up, and tracking processes are consistently executed.
• Support local marketing efforts, community outreach initiatives, and business partnership programs to drive membership growth.
• Promote club services, programs, and amenities to maximize member engagement and revenue opportunities.
• Ensure the club consistently delivers a welcoming, professional, and exceptional member experience.
• Resolve member concerns and complaints promptly, professionally, and in accordance with company policies.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, maintenance, and overall facility appearance.
• Ensure all equipment issues are reported and addressed in a timely manner.
• Assist with payroll processing, scheduling, and administrative functions as needed.
• Support compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow established protocols when addressing employee or member-related issues.
