Job summary

Excel Fitness in Wichita Falls, TX is seeking a full-time Club Operations Supervisor to support the General Manager in leading a 20-person Team Player team at one location. You’ll handle hiring, training, scheduling, payroll, and KPI tracking to ensure excellent member service.

You will drive daily operations, uphold Excel values, coordinate with HQ on inventory and promotions, and ensure a clean, safe facility with world-class customer care.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR/AED certification required; uncertified employees will complete training within 30 days of employment.
• Proven ability to lead, encourage, develop, and supervise the work of others.
• Familiar with Excel mission, values, vision, and culture, as well as the Planet Fitness brand and operational requirements.
• Demonstrated the ability, confidence, and leadership to manage a team.
• Effective communication skills with internal and external customers.
• Must be team oriented, motivated, and well organized.
• Ability to think critically and evaluate solutions to problems proactively.

Responsibilities

• Assist GM in planning and implementing strategies to attract and keep members based on our Excel Core Values while maintaining a positive culture.
• Accountable for the hiring process, from selecting candidates, interviewing process, and ensuring onboarding documentation is filled out to our standards.
• Train and develop new team members.
• Ensure all Team Players stay up to date on certifications and scheduled training requirements.
• Counsel and Discipline team member performance; supervise, inspire, motivate, and coach staff to perform to their best abilities.
• Support GM with monitoring KPI goals and metrics for the club.
• Support the GM to ensure a clean facility with a great atmosphere and world-class member service.
• Perform daily club inspections and assign cleaning tasks with re-inspections.
• Enter work orders into the CMMS to ensure facility and equipment serviceability.
• Audits and reporting of daily paperwork; manage inventory and communications with GM and HQ on orders.
• Assist with marketing and promotional activities; assist with scheduling and payroll items.
• Make sure all Team Players adhere to company policies and guidelines and address infractions; report major infractions with GM and HR.
• Conduct Team Player Assessments and competency evaluations; maintain availability for field operations questions or emergencies.
• On-call during Peak Season/Sale Expirations to support club needs.
