Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in the United States is seeking an Assistant Club Manager in Training (AMIT). This role partners with the Club Manager to lead departments, develop talent, and drive store performance while upholding GOLD standards and exceptional member experience.

You’ll oversee hiring, training, and onboarding, manage labor and inventories, and ensure safety and compliance across merchandising, perishables, or member experience tracks. Progression to a higher AMIT track is possible.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of leadership experience in retail or store operations.
• Experience in staffing, training, and onboarding.
• Strong knowledge of safety and compliance standards (ServSafe or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic department leadership across assigned store areas (Merchandising, Perishables, Member Experience).
• Recruit, hire, and onboard team members; manage certification and training.
• Oversee labor planning, scheduling, and inventory to meet budget and performance targets.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.
