Job summary

Meta is seeking a seasoned hardware platform engineer to own compute, storage and GPU platform health in our data centers and cloud capacity. You’ll manage end-to-end lifecycle from deployment to decommissioning, diagnose systemic hardware issues, and partner with cross-functional teams to improve fleet reliability and performance.

You will drive complex investigations across hardware, software/firmware, networking and power & cooling, using telemetry to identify trends and accelerate

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE or related field.
• 10+ years of server hardware experience in internet operations or design/test.
• Experience triaging and debugging hardware platforms.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Experience with data-driven decision making from telemetry data.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for compute, storage, and GPU platforms in data centers and cloud capacity.
• Escalate and drive hardware/software investigations to resolution.
• Identify systemic hardware issues within a cloud provider and across providers.
• Represent reliability expectations to cloud providers with technical evidence.
• Carry findings from cloud environments back into Meta's platform work.
• Provide end-to-end lifecycle support for hardware platforms.
• Drive investigations across Hardware, Software/Firmware, Networking and Power & Cooling.
• Analyze fleet health to proactively mitigate impact.
• Collaborate with HW Engineering and Systems Integration for mass production.
• Provide feedback to engineering and operations to improve scalability.
