Job summary

Leidos is seeking an established Operations Manager to support the U.S. Air Force Cloud One Architecture and Common Shared Services contract.

You will guide the daily IT operations, ensuring high performance, reliability, and alignment with business goals while mentoring ITSM staff and promoting agile policies. You will lead a diverse team of engineers and service desk personnel across Azure, AWS, OCI, and GCP environments, collaborating with program leadership and customers to drive efficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years’ relevant experience or a Master’s degree and 6 years’ relevant experience.
• 5 years’ experience leading teams or projects.
• Experience supporting mission-critical IT operations within high-availability, enterprise environments.
• Experience with incident management, technical troubleshooting, service restoration, log and trend analysis, and RCA.
• Experience supporting cloud environments and enterprise systems administration.
• Experience collaborating with customers, technical teams, and key stakeholders to resolve incidents and meet operational requirements.
• Experience using IT service management (ITSM) systems to track incidents and service requests.
• Strong communication, leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Must have an active DoD Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee IT service management processes, including incident and problem management, SLA and KPI performance, and proactive corrective actions.
• Lead a multidisciplinary operations organization supporting more than 60 mission-critical DoD applications and systems.
• Direct operational planning, staffing, resource allocation, and subcontractor management.
• Establish operational priorities and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Serve as a key operational leader and customer interface, building strong relationships.
• Partner with program leadership to align cloud services with mission objectives.
• Provide leadership on Agile and operational best practices to improve delivery and reduce costs.
• Lead organizational change across cross-functional teams.
