Job summary

Salesforce's Monitoring Cloud division is seeking engineers to architect, implement, and operate telemetry services at massive scale in the public cloud. You will work on the telemetry stack—from agents to back-end analytics—providing timely, reliable insights for development teams.

You will own features end-to-end, collaborate with engineering, product, and design, and share learnings via talks and blogs to continuously improve reliability and performance.

Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent field.
  • Experience building highly scalable, available, real-time data services.
  • Experience with server-side Java in Linux/UNIX environments.
  • Proficiency in Python, Perl, Ruby, Go, or Scala.
  • Experience with time-series databases and data streaming platforms (Kafka, OpenTSDB, Elasticsearch, Splunk).
  • Good understanding of AWS technologies and operations.
  • Familiarity with container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and deploy features to enhance observability services for Salesforce teams.
  • Demonstrate service ownership by monitoring and proactively addressing incidents.
  • Engage with customers to understand requirements and resolve issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product leadership to shape the release roadmap.
  • Automate manual procedures to reduce toil and move code toward configurability.
  • Present work at tech talks, cloud demos and engineering blogs.
