Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Software Engineering
• 5+ years of observability practices (SLIs/SLOs/SLAs, alerting, incident management)
• 5+ years building production-grade backend services in Go and/or Java
• 5+ years implementing and operating OpenTelemetry
• 5+ years with cloud-native platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, Argo CD)
• 5+ years with public clouds (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• 3+ years designing and scaling distributed, high-volume data pipelines
• 3+ years with Helmcharts, Kustomize
• 3+ years with Grafana OSS or similar backends
• 3+ years with IaC tools (Terraform or CloudFormation)
• 3+ years with PostgreSQL/MySQL

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate core observability platform services using Go, Python, Java
• Lead enterprise-wide adoption of OpenTelemetry across teams
• Architect and scale high-throughput telemetry pipelines (logs, metrics, traces)
• Develop self-service observability capabilities for onboarding and troubleshooting
• Implement end-to-end monitoring of the platform with SLOs and health checks
• Collaborate with SRE, Platform, and Cloud teams to set reliability standards
• Participate in on-call rotations and lead incident reviews
• Automate workflows and CI/CD enhancements for platform automation
• Ensure secure telemetry pipelines with mTLS and secrets management
• Produce and maintain technical documentation and standards
• Engage with engineering teams to influence roadmap and deliver platform improvements
• Provide technical leadership through design reviews and cross-team collaboration
