Job summary

Salesforce is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to lead the Trusted Services Event Monitoring team. You will design and deliver features from architecture to production, driving AI-assisted engineering practices, data ingestion and observability across multi-tenant systems.

The role requires 10+ years in software engineering with leadership experience, strong Java API design, React/LWC front-end skills, and hands-on experience with OpenTelemetry, Kafka, and Grafana.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Hands-on with Claude Code or similar AI coding environments.
• Strong Java API design and frontend development with React or LWC.
• Experience operating distributed systems with observability tooling.
• Proven mentoring ability and leadership in engineering culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design and end-to-end delivery of features from architecture to production.
• Drive cross-team alignment on data ingestion, query performance, and cost boundaries.
• Define integration between Unified Observability and existing telemetry sources.
• Use AI tools across coding, testing, and code review, modeling best practices.
• Mentor engineers and shape team practices, hiring, and culture.
