Job summary

Leidos seeks a Software Engineering Lead to direct the design, modernization, and sustainment of enterprise software for NIH/NCI. You will guide teams across SDLC, implement secure, scalable cloud-native solutions, and collaborate with stakeholders.

Reporting to Technical Lead, you’ll champion Agile, DevSecOps, and CI/CD, ensuring compliant architectures and high availability while aligning with NIH/NCI standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, software engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years in software engineering with 5+ years leading enterprise teams.
• Experience with NIH/HHS/Federal civilian agencies is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Agile, DevSecOps, and secure SDLC.
• Hands-on with Java, Python, Oracle, REST APIs.
• IaC, CI/CD, and cloud-native development experience.
• Experience with AWS services and NoSQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, modernization of enterprise software for NIH/NCI.
• Provide technical leadership across SDLC using Agile practices.
• Establish DevSecOps processes and CI/CD pipelines.
• Design and support cloud-native and on-prem hosting environments.
• Ensure security compliance per FISMA, FedRAMP, and 508.
