Job summary

Leidos Health & Civil Sector seeks a Software Engineering Lead to guide design, modernization, and deployment of enterprise applications for NIH/NCI. You will manage cross-functional teams and collaborate with government stakeholders to deliver secure, cloud-native solutions aligned with federal standards.

Applicants should bring 10+ years of software engineering experience, 5+ years in leadership, and strong expertise in Java, Python, AWS, and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years in leading enterprise teams.
• Experience with NIH, HHS, CMS or other Federal civilian agencies is preferred.
• Strong SDLC, Agile, DevSecOps experience and secure software development practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, modernization, testing, deployment, and sustainment of enterprise software.
• Provide technical leadership across the full SDLC using Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Establish and enforce DevSecOps, CI/CD, configuration management and IaC practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver secure, cloud-native applications for NIH/NCI.
