Job summary

Nava, a consultancy and public benefit corporation, seeks an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a cloud-focused team. You will contribute as a technical lead or IC, guide product collaborations, and ensure delivery of secure, scalable cloud-native services.

Expect to mentor engineers, oversee architecture reviews, and help shape project strategy while enjoying a remote-first environment with strong health, retirement, and training benefits.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years in an agile, multidisciplinary team environment.
• Designing and building cloud-native microservices and RESTful APIs with Java/Spring Boot.
• Experience with PostgreSQL/JDBC and ORM (Hibernate).
• DevOps experience, preferably Jenkins CI/CD.
• Experience with AWS cloud native services and data engineering.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• May be subject to government background check or security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Writing code and performing code reviews.
• Writing and reviewing technical specifications.
• Guiding the engineering team on planning, estimation, prioritization, trade-offs, and balancing technical debt with milestones.
• Review architecture and designs from other project teams.
• Strategizing with leadership on project growth.
• Attending conferences and networking with potential clients.
