Nava Public Benefit Corp. is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to grow their technical leaders and contribute as a hands-on contributor. You will guide cross-functional teams through architecture reviews, roadmaps, and delivery of secure, scalable cloud-based solutions.

You will work with product, design, and operations to balance technical debt with milestones, while mentoring engineers and maintaining production systems. Remote-friendly with strong public-good impact.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in an agile, multidisciplinary team environment.
• People management experience with coaching and feedback.
• Production-grade microservices and RESTful APIs in Java/Spring Boot.
• Relational DBs (PostgreSQL) with JDBC/ORM (Hibernate).
• DevOps experience with CI/CD (Jenkins).
• AWS cloud native services and data engineering know-how.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams, plan and prioritize work, and balance technical debt with milestones.
• Design and review architectures, roadmaps, and technical directions.
• Contribute as a technical lead or IC on key projects.
• Collaborate with product teams to identify risks and ensure delivery milestones.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to align on technical initiatives.
• Maintain production systems and participate in on-call efforts.
• Guide cross-functional partners and vendors to deliver secure, reliable solutions.
