Job summary

Nava Public Benefit Corp. is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager in the United States. You will lead technical teams, contribute as a coder or tech lead, and align engineering work with Nava’s mission to improve public services.

You will guide design, architecture, and delivery of cloud-based solutions, collaborating with product, cross-functional teams, and government partners to ensure reliable, scalable systems and impactful software outcomes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in an agile, multidisciplinary team environment with cloud platform experience.
• 1+ years as a People Manager.
• Production-grade, cloud-native microservices and RESTful APIs using Java, Spring Boot.
• Relational databases (Postgres) with JDBC and Hibernate.
• DevOps experience, Jenkins CI/CD.
• AWS cloud native services and data engineering.
• Strong problem-solving, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
• Experience working with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering leadership and technical direction to delivery teams.
• Write and review code; contribute as individual contributor or tech lead.
• Collaborate with product teams to identify risks and plan milestones.
• Review architectures and designs; design technical roadmaps.
• Enforce architectural standards and manage technical debt.
• Maintain production systems and handle on-call duties.
• Contribute to client growth and business development bids.
• Engage with government stakeholders to align technical initiatives.
