Job summary

Amazon AWS is seeking a Business Development Manager focused on Cloud Intelligence to provide sellers with insights on cloud business and sales strategies. You will partner with AWS Sales, Marketing, BD and product teams to help win competitive engagements and translate business requirements into cloud outcomes.

A successful candidate will have led large and complex public cloud sales opportunities, possess world-class business acumen, and be comfortable with executive-level conversations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Go-To-Market, Business Development, Sales, or Consulting experience.
• Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level.
• Experience explaining complex technical concepts to business and technical audiences.
• Master's degree in business, data science, public administration, finance, engineering, human resources, or related field, or PMP certificate.
• Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations across leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Experience leading complex, multi-year initiatives that may be cross-functional and/or span business and technology.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable competitive strategies to enable winning key strategic deals.
• Support, coach, and develop large deal closing capability.
• Be the go-to resource for an AWS field sales segment and sales leadership for AWS differentiation.
• Articulate the business value of AWS propositions, working from customers' strategic objectives.
• Earn trust with and influence C-level executives in customer organizations and within AWS.
• Lead strategic, in-person workshops (travel required).
• Develop and share cloud adoption trends and blockers across the cloud ecosystem.
• Enable and upskill field teams through development of field-friendly content and trainings.
• Track signals and identify opportunities to provide Cloud Intelligence with insight to improve offerings.
• Influence internal stakeholders on market realities to differentiate AWS’s value.
