Job summary

DSV - Global Transport and Logistics in Lancaster, TX is seeking a Carrier Sales Representative, Cloud Freight Operations to source capacity and actively manage high-risk, high-value freight supporting cloud computing customers. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in logistics, transportation, freight brokerage, dispatch, carrier sales, or related field; 3+ years preferred.
• Experience with freight dispatch, load coordination, carrier sales, or brokerage operations preferred.
• Experience with high-value, high-risk, time-sensitive freight preferred.
• Experience with carrier sourcing, rate negotiation, shipment tracking, and transportation execution preferred.

Responsibilities

• Source, negotiate with, and secure qualified transportation carriers and drivers to cover available freight in a cost-effective and service-focused manner.
• Dispatch assigned shipments and communicate complete and accurate load information, including pickup and delivery requirements, appointment times, routing instructions, customer-specific requirements, and applicable handling or security requirements.
• Maintain direct and regular communication with carriers and drivers throughout the shipment lifecycle from dispatch through final delivery.
• Monitor dispatched loads to confirm timely arrival for pickup, successful loading, in-transit progress, delivery status, and completion of required shipment milestones.
• Track and trace active shipments and maintain accurate, real-time shipment status information within the TMS and other required systems.
• Proactively contact carriers and drivers to obtain shipment updates rather than relying solely on automated tracking or status notifications.
• Identify potential delays, missed appointments, route deviations, communication gaps, service failures, or other shipment exceptions and take appropriate action to support successful delivery.
• Coordinate with carriers, drivers, Operational Account Managers, and other internal teams to resolve shipment issues, adjust plans, and communicate changes as they occur.
• Escalate significant service, security, capacity, or operational concerns in accordance with established procedures.
• Ensure carriers and drivers understand and comply with applicable DSV, customer, operational, and shipment-specific requirements for HRHV freight.
• Collect, review, and maintain required carrier and shipment documentation to support shipment completion, billing, and operational requirements.
