Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics in Lancaster, TX is seeking a Carrier Sales Representative, Cloud Freight Operations to source capacity, negotiate rates, dispatch freight, and monitor shipments for HRHV freight supporting cloud computing customers.

You will build and develop a reliable carrier network, track market conditions, provide real-time pricing, and collaborate with Operational Account Managers to balance service, security, capacity, and cost.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in logistics, transportation, freight brokerage, dispatch, carrier sales, or related field; 3+ years preferred.
• Experience with freight dispatch, load coordination, carrier sales, or brokerage operations preferred.
• Experience with high-value, high-risk, time-sensitive freight preferred.
• Experience with carrier sourcing, rate negotiation, shipment tracking, and transportation execution preferred.
• Experience working with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) required.

Responsibilities

• Source, negotiate with, and secure qualified transportation carriers and drivers to cover available freight.
• Dispatch assigned shipments and communicate load information including pickup, delivery, and routing instructions.
• Confirm carrier and driver readiness prior to dispatch with equipment availability and documentation.
• Maintain direct and regular communication with carriers and drivers throughout the shipment lifecycle.
• Monitor dispatched loads for timely pickup, loading, in-transit progress, and delivery status.
• Track and trace active shipments and maintain real-time shipment status in the TMS.
• Proactively contact carriers for shipment updates and manage exceptions.
