Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in logistics, transportation, freight brokerage, or dispatch.

Responsibilities

• Source, negotiate with and secure qualified transportation carriers and drivers to cover available freight in a cost‑effective and service‑focused manner.
• Dispatch assigned shipments and communicate complete and accurate load information, including pickup/delivery requirements, appointment times, routing instructions, and handling or security requirements.
• Confirm carrier and driver readiness prior to dispatch, including equipment availability and required documentation.
• Maintain direct and regular communication with carriers and drivers throughout the shipment lifecycle from dispatch through final delivery.
• Monitor dispatched loads to confirm timely arrival for pickup, loading, in‑transit progress, delivery, and milestones.
• Track and trace active shipments and maintain real‑time shipment status in the TMS and other systems.
• Proactively contact carriers and drivers for shipment updates, not relying solely on automated tracking.
• Identify delays or issues and take action to support successful delivery.
• Coordinate with carriers, drivers, and internal teams to resolve shipment issues and adjust plans.

Education
