Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Manager, Cloud & Data Platform Engineer to own the Retail Resource Center's Google Cloud stack, focusing on reliability, security and data quality. You will lead deployment, data pipelines, and analytics in BigQuery, Cloud Run, GKE, and related services to enable trusted insights.

You will design CI/CD pipelines, manage IAM and security controls, and collaborate with analysts and product owners to translate reporting needs into reliable datasets and dashboards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps, site reliability, cloud, platform, or data engineering with hands-on production experience in Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run, GKE, Redis, BigQuery)
• Experience building or supporting production data pipelines
• Proficiency in Python and SQL
• Experience with AI tools to support development and automation
• Experience designing and operating data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows
• Strong problem solving, troubleshooting, and decision making skills
• Clear written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Owns the Google Cloud architecture, availability, performance and lifecycle management of Cloud Run, GKE, Redis and BigQuery
• Designs, builds, and maintains CI/CD pipelines for applications and data workloads
• Oversees containerization and deployment practices including image lifecycle management
• Designs and maintains batch and streaming data pipelines that ingest data into BigQuery
• Develops analytics data layer in BigQuery and creates data models for reporting
• Implements data quality checks, governance, and pipeline observability
• Plans capacity, autoscaling, backup and disaster recovery for apps and data stores
• Collaborates with engineers, security, and analysts to translate requirements into reliable datasets and dashboards
• Leverages AI to accelerate development and automation across cloud infrastructure and workloads
• Leads incident response, runbooks, and on-call rotations
