Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps, site reliability, cloud, platform, or data engineering with hands-on production experience on Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run, GKE, Redis, BigQuery)
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker
• Experience with infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines
• Proficiency in Python and strong SQL skills
• Experience leveraging AI tools to support development and automation
• Experience designing and operating data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows
• Strong problem solving, troubleshooting, and decision making skills
• Clear written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Owns the application and data technology stack in Google Cloud, including Cloud Run, GKE, Redis, BigQuery and related services
• Designs, builds, and maintains CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Cloud Build, GitHub Actions) for application and data workloads
• Oversees containerization and deployment practices and image lifecycle management
• Designs, builds, and maintains batch and streaming data pipelines that ingest data into BigQuery
• Develops and manages the analytics data layer in BigQuery with SQL-based transformations
• Implements data quality checks, governance, lineage, and observability
• Partners with analysts and stakeholders to translate reporting needs into datasets and dashboards
• Defines and manages infrastructure as code with version-controlled changes and automated provisioning
• Implements monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting; defines service levels and dashboards
• Leads incident response and post-incident reviews; participates in on-call rotation
• Manages IAM roles, network config, secrets, and vulnerability scanning; works with security teams on audits
• Plans for capacity, autoscaling, backup, and disaster recovery
• Collaborates with software engineering, security, and operations to solve challenges
• Leverages AI to accelerate development and automation across platforms
• Develops AI agents to automate workflows and operational tasks
• Evaluates new Google Cloud services and contributes to roadmap and planning
