Job summary

CVS Health in Virginia seeks a Manager, Cloud & Data Platform Engineer to own the Retail Resource Center's cloud and data stack in Google Cloud, with a focus on reliability, security, data quality, and fast delivery. You will manage Cloud Run, GKE, Redis, BigQuery, and supporting services to enable trusted analytics and operational efficiency.

You will design and maintain data pipelines, governance controls, and analysis-ready datasets, partnering with analysts and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of DevOps, SRE, cloud, platform, or data engineering with GCP.
• Hands-on with Cloud Run, GKE, Redis, BigQuery and data pipelines.
• Strong SQL and at least one scripting language (e.g., Python).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and AI tools for automation.

Responsibilities

• Own Google Cloud app and data stack architecture, availability, and performance.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and release strategies.
• Oversee containerization and image lifecycle management.
• Build batch and streaming data pipelines into BigQuery.
• Develop analytics data layer in BigQuery for reporting.
• Implement data quality, lineage, and observability.
• Enforce data governance, security, and access controls.
• Collaborate with analysts to translate reporting needs into datasets.
• Define IaC and automate provisioning across environments.
• Monitor platform health with dashboards and runbooks; lead incident reviews.
