Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Manager, Cloud & Data Platform Engineer to own and evolve the Retail Resource Center’s Google Cloud architecture and data pipelines. You will manage Cloud Run, GKE, Redis, and BigQuery, build CI/CD pipelines, and drive reliability, security and data quality across pipelines and analytics.

You will partner with analysts and product teams to translate reporting needs into trusted datasets and dashboards, implement governance and security controls, and lead on-call readiness

Qualifications

• 3+ years in DevOps, SRE, cloud, platform or data engineering with hands-on GCP experience.
• Knowledge of Google Cloud services including IAM, Cloud Run, GKE, Redis, BigQuery.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience leveraging AI tools to support development and automation.
• Experience designing and operating data pipelines, ETL/ELT, orchestration and data quality.
• Google Cloud certification (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect/DevOps/Data Engineer).
• Experience with Cloud Composer/Airflow and PowerBI.
• Experience developing AI agents to automate workflows.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or related field or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Manage code deployment and release processes; design and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Oversee containerization and deployment practices, including image lifecycle management.
• Design and maintain batch and streaming data pipelines into BigQuery.
• Develop and manage analytics data layer in BigQuery for reporting and analysis.
• Implement data quality checks, governance, lineage, observability, and reliability targets.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate reporting needs into datasets and dashboards.
• Set up monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting; track platform health and performance.
• Participate in on-call rotations and develop runbooks and SOPs.
• Manage IAM roles, service accounts, network configuration, secrets, and vulnerability scanning.
• Collaborate with software engineering, security, and operations teams on requirements and solutions.
• Leverage AI to accelerate development and automation across apps, infra and workloads.
• Develop AI agents to automate workflows and accelerate delivery.
• Evaluate new Google Cloud services and contribute to roadmap planning.
• Pursue ongoing knowledge development and certifications.
