Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician in Virginia to maintain and repair server hardware, diagnose network issues, and support 24/7 data center operations powering AWS services.

You'll join a diverse team of engineers and operations staff, participate in on-call rotations, and travel between local data centers as needed. This role demands hands-on technical work, safety awareness, and a proactive approach to keeping our global cloud infrastructure available.

Qualifications

• Experience in computer networking.
• Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.
• Willingness to travel between data center locations as needed.
• Ability to work on-call and shift-based schedules.

Responsibilities

• Perform server rack installations and hardware break-fix; troubleshoot network issues to maintain service availability.
• Serve as primary contact for internal and external stakeholders including engineers and suppliers.
• Participate in on-call duties and scheduled maintenance and change management.
• Contribute to documentation and process improvements based on issue analysis.
• Assist in interviewing, training and onboarding new team members.
