Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician to support AWS data centers. You will perform server rack installations, hardware repairs, network troubleshooting, and incident response to ensure high availability of AWS services.

The role requires travel between data centers, shift work, and willingness to work at alternative sites during training or until the assigned facility is fully operational. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of computer networking experience.
• 1+ years of Linux operating systems experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience in computer networking.
• Experience working with Linux operating systems.
• Can lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds.
• 2+ years of computer layer 1/2 networking experience.
• 18+ months of computer/server hardware troubleshooting or related IT experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform server rack installations and hardware break-fix.
• Troubleshoot network issues and respond to incidents.
• Be primary contact for internal/external stakeholders.
• Participate in on-call duties and maintenance activities.
• Assist in documentation and onboarding of new team members.
