Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Texas seeks a data center technician to install server racks, diagnose hardware and network issues, and participate in on-call rotations to ensure service availability.

You’ll collaborate with engineers, security teams, and operations staff across AWS data centres, travel between sites as needed, and contribute to documentation and continuous improvements of data center operations. This role also requires physical work and shifts.

Qualifications

• 18+ months of computer/server hardware troubleshooting experience.
• 18+ months of computer L1/L2 networking experience.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends.
• Ability to travel between data centre locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform server rack installations and hardware repairs.
• Troubleshoot network issues and respond to incidents.
• Participate in on-call rotation and maintenance windows.
• Contribute to documentation and onboarding of new staff.
• Support data centre operations across multiple sites.
