Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Dallas is seeking a Data Center Technician to support 24/7 data center operations, perform server hardware installations, and troubleshoot complex issues across multiple sites.

You will coordinate with engineers, developers, vendors, and contractors to keep services running smoothly. The role requires ability to travel between data center locations, willingness to work flexible shifts (days/nights/weekends), and a proactive approach to incident response,

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent diploma.
• 1+ years of computer/server hardware troubleshooting or related IT experience.
• Ability to work on a flexible schedule including days, nights, and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform server rack installations and hardware break-fix on various components, troubleshooting network issues, and responding to operational incidents that impact service availability.
• Serve as a primary contact point for engineers, software developers, vendors, and contractors.
• Perform on-call duties and participate in scheduled maintenance and change management activities.
• Contribute to documentation and process improvement initiatives based on analysis of operational issues.
• Help train and onboard new team members.
