Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a technology manager to lead a team responsible for global data center operations. The role focuses on people leadership, strategic planning, and delivering reliable infrastructure.

You will mentor staff, sponsor projects, and propose technical solutions while coordinating hardware and network diagnostics with on-site teams. The position requires 4+ years IT experience or a related degree, plus 2+ years of people management and on-call facilities operations.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Information Technology (IT) experience, or Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent.
• 2+ years of people management experience.
• 2+ years of operations and on-call support for data center facilities, mission critical plants, or production facilities experience.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and assign trouble tickets to data center technicians and operators.
• Manage the performance of a diverse team of data center operation professionals across locations.
• Develop Career Paths for the employees and update internal tools.
• Recruit and train data technicians to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
• Ensure effective day-to-day data center operations, including queue management and 24/7 shift arrangements.
• Be the subject matter expert across data center operations and related technologies.
