Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a technology manager to lead a team responsible for cloud infrastructure across AWS data centers. You will mentor staff, sponsor projects, and drive strategic technical solutions while coordinating hardware and network diagnostics and on-site repairs.

The role includes on-call rotation and travel between locations. The position emphasizes strategic vision, people development, and ensuring safety, security, and operational KPIs across multiple data center

Qualifications

• 4+ years of IT experience or a Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering/Math or equivalent.
• 2+ years of people management experience.
• 2+ years of operations and on-call support for data center facilities.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and assign tickets to data center technicians and operators.
• Manage performance of diverse teams across locations.
• Recruit and train data technicians to ensure staffing levels.
• Ensure day-to-day data center operations including shift arrangements and hardware logistics.
• Manage large-scale events (outages) and act as call leader.
• Oversee policies to meet SLAs and improve workflows.
