Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a technology manager to lead a team responsible for cloud infrastructure across AWS data centers. You will mentor staff, sponsor projects, and drive strategic technical solutions while coordinating hardware and network diagnostics and on-site repairs.

Qualifications

4+ years of IT experience or a Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering/Math or equivalent.
2+ years of people management experience.
2+ years of operations and on-call support for data center facilities.

Responsibilities

Prioritize and assign tickets to data center technicians and operators.
Manage performance of diverse teams across locations.
Recruit and train data technicians to ensure staffing levels.
Ensure day-to-day data center operations including shift arrangements and hardware logistics.
Manage large-scale events (outages) and act as call leader.
Oversee policies to meet SLAs and improve workflows.
