Job summary

Rutgers University Correctional Health Care is seeking a Part Time UCHC Technician I for the Adult Diagnostic Treatment Center in Avenel, NJ. The Technician I supports the clinical and administrative medical team, takes vital signs, assists with procedures, and handles specimen collection.

The role requires CMA/EMT/CNA certification, CPR, and a valid driver's license with reliable transportation between sites. Onsite work arrangement, part-time status, and Teamsters 97 union. Benefits available.

Qualifications

• Valid CMA, EMT, or CNA certification.
• At least two years of progressively responsible healthcare experience.
• CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Takes vital signs, height and weight and documents in electronic medical records (EMR).
• Assists physician/advanced practitioner with examinations and procedures.
• Obtains specimen collection and handling, including drawing blood.
• Maintains and sterilizes equipment and manages supply stock in the Health Service Unit.
• Aggregates orders of medications and forwards to pharmacy provider.
