Job summary

Rutgers University Correctional Health Care is seeking a Part Time Technician I for the Garden State Youth Correctional Facility in Yardville, NJ. You will work as part of the clinical medical team, performing vitals, assisting with procedures, and handling specimens in an on-site setting.

This role requires CMA/EMT/CNA certifications, at least two years of healthcare experience, and CPR. A valid driver’s license is also required, with duties spanning multiple sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid CMA/EMT/CNA certification required.
• At least two years of progressively responsible healthcare experience.
• CPR certification is required.
• Valid Driver’s License is required.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, height and weight and document in EMR.
• Assist physician with procedures and prep patient for exams.
• Obtain specimen collection; draw blood.
• Assist with cleaning, sterilization and securing equipment in Health Service Unit.
• Maintain or assist in maintaining supply stock and order supplies.
• Aggregate orders of medications and forward to pharmacy.
