Rutgers University Correctional Health Care is seeking a Full Time UCHC Technician I for the Adult Diagnostic Treatment Center in Avenel, NJ. The technician participates in a clinical and administrative medical team, takes vitals and assists with exams and procedures.

Responsibilities include specimen collection, equipment sterilization, and managing stock and medication orders to support patient care in a correctional health setting.

Qualifications

• CMA, EMT or CNA certification required.
• At least two years of healthcare experience in multiple areas.
• CPR certification is required.
• Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation to multiple sites.

Responsabilités

• Take vital signs, height, weight, and document in EMR.
• Assist physician/PA with procedures and patient preparation.
• Obtain specimen collection and handling, including blood draws.
• Assist with cleaning, sterilization and securing of equipment in Health Service Unit.
• Maintain supply stock and coordinate medication orders with pharmacy.
