Job Description

The Clinical Support Specialist works cooperatively with administrative and clinical staff to manage client communication and needs, both on the phone and in person. Responsibilities include processing referrals promptly, scheduling appointments accurately, supporting prescribers as approved, and overseeing client records from data entry to archiving.

Monday through Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

Job Functions

1. Process all new referrals and verify insurance eligibility
2. Transmit referral information to appropriate staff or services within the agency
3. Enter referral data into electronic records
4. Schedule court-ordered evaluations

Minimum Requirements

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience: At least one year in a medical, mental health, or professional office setting involving customer service and data entry
• Licensure/Certifications: None required
• Clearances: Child Abuse Clearance, Criminal background check, and verification of not being on Medicaid/Medicare Exclusion list

Note: Additional relevant experience or education may be considered at the discretion of the Personnel Officer.
