Job description

Job Title: Clinical Support Specialist

Hours: Shift-based schedule spanning 6am-2am CT, 7 days a week, including holidays and weekends.

Role Overview: As a Clinical Support Specialist, you will support and maintain PAS operations and the portal application. Your daily responsibilities include conducting hourly operational evaluations, adjusting workflows to balance supply and demand, providing troubleshooting assistance, and acting as a liaison between leadership, application users, and Information Systems. Prior experience in data entry or healthcare administration, preferably in a hospital setting, is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and report on the supply and demand of case consults in the web-based portal work queue.
  2. Resolve requests independently or redirect them to appropriate departments in real-time.
  3. Serve as the central communication hub between clients and internal teams.
  4. Troubleshoot machine/software failures, portal malfunctions, and user errors; escalate when necessary.
  5. Manage outages, portal glitches, and physician downtime related to IT issues via a centralized service desk.
  6. Receive and enter case information from hospital sites, using tools like Careport or Epic, or via email.
  7. Attach electronic medical records to cases within the PAS portal.

Location: Remote, US

Compensation: The hourly pay range is $16.88 - $25.51, determined by role, experience, skills, and education.
