Mid-Shift Clinical Support Specialist - Remote

MedBridge Healthcare, a leader in sleep laboratory management services and sleep therapy, partners with hospitals and physician practices to provide comprehensive, fully integrated care solutions. Our approach supports every step of sleep disorder management, from patient identification and testing to diagnosis, treatment, and long-term care.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Support Specialist with a background in sleep medicine for a full-time, mid-shift role. This position requires three 12-hour shifts each week, from 7 pm to 7 am EST, covering Sunday - Tuesday and rotating Saturdays. Candidates with supervisory experience, multi-state licenses, or additional credentials are preferred.

Reporting to the Manager of the Clinical Support Department, the Clinical Support Specialist will provide essential clinical and technical assistance to the MedBridge Healthcare team and contribute to our Home Sleep Testing (HST) department, ensuring the highest standard of care for our patients with sleep disorders.

MUST have a current RPSGT

MUST reside within one of the following states: AL, DE, FL, GA, KY, MD, NJ, NC, OH, SC, and TN

Primary Responsibilities Will Include
  1. Provide clinical support through a variety of communication platforms including phone, remote computer access systems, and texting platforms
  2. Provide clinical support to sleep labs according to the preset policies and procedures developed by the area’s medical director
  3. Assist Physicians with editing report and interpretation templates in our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
  4. Provide training for the night clinical support staff as needed
  5. Provide technical support to sleep center staff
  6. Provide training to client staff, physicians, and MedBridge employees
  7. Provide support for HST patients, including follow up calls to assure patients receive equipment
  8. Help to develop clinical operations procedures to improve current standards for diagnostic sleep centers
Secondary Responsibilities Will Include
  1. Evaluating study data quality for in lab and HST studies
  2. Score HST, MSLT, MWT, PSG, SPLIT, and PAP studies
  3. Analyze data that has been acquired during the polysomnographic (sleep) study
  4. Review and train employees on Lab Retriever functions, sleep software, and scoring processes
  5. Perform quality assessments on technologist scoring and acquisitions
  6. Produce comprehensive reports and forward them to the interpreting physician for interpretation
  7. Comply with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, and standards regarding safety and infection control issues
  8. Other clinical duties as required
  9. Maintain strict confidentiality
Job Requirements
  1. High School diploma
  2. Register Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) credential holder
  3. Licensure in the states that require Licensure for scoring of diagnostic tests (as-needed)
  4. BLS/CPR-certified
  5. Graduate of a Polysomnography educational program preferred
  6. Associates degree preferred but not necessary
  7. Bachelor’s degree preferred but not necessary
  8. Minimum of five years’ experience in sleep medicine as a Polysomnographic Technologist
  9. Minimum of two years’ experience in scoring of sleep studies
  10. Minimum two years’ experience with HST devices
  11. Knowledge of all aspects of polysomnography and sleep medicine protocols.
  12. Knowledge of how to operate and maintain a variety of sleep equipment
  13. Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines and standards regarding safety and infection control issues
  14. Knowledge of how to instruct staff according to the policies and procedures
  15. If working remotely access to high speed internet
  16. Skill in use of computer and software
  17. Skill in appropriate quality control and confidentiality procedures
  18. Skill in analyzing data and situations to implement and administer procedures and to resolve technical, administrative, and patient related problems
  19. Ability to learn and use multiple sleep software programs
  20. Ability to exercise independent judgement for decision making and discretion
  21. Ability to analyze complex situations and apply policy
  22. Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with staff
  23. Ability to educate staff, patients, and families effectively
