Job summary

Oak Street Health is seeking a Medical Scribe - Float to support primary care providers by documenting patient encounters, coding, and preparing after-visit summaries. This full-time, in-clinic role emphasizes accurate clinical documentation and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and common medications.
• Prior clinical experience or shadowing preferred.
• Ability to document encounters accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Document patient encounters in real time with structured notes.
• Assign CPT and ICD-10 codes and prepare after-visit summaries.
• Support clinical documentation improvement and referral workflows.
• Provide administrative support to the care team as needed.
