Job summary

Oak Street Health is seeking a Medical Scribe - Float to support primary care providers with real‑time documentation across multiple clinics. You will join visits, observe and document encounters, and help with coding and care coordination.

This is a full‑time role with a focus on accurate, efficient documentation in a fast-paced setting. The ideal candidate commits to 1–2 years in the role, has strong listening and communication skills, and is comfortable learning new workflows.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and common medications [required]
• Prior clinical experience preferred
• Scribe or transcription experience optional

Responsibilities

• Document patient encounters in a structured note with history, assessment, plan, and exam
• Assign CPT and ICD-10 codes
• Prepare After Visit Summaries
• Support clinical documentation improvement and daily huddles
• Assist with orders, referrals, and other administrative tasks
