Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute in Venice, FL is seeking an Admixture Tech II to perform complex compounding tasks under supervision of the dispensing practitioner. The role requires sterile preparation, safety cabinet knowledge, and familiarity with cytotoxic agents.

The technician will manage orders, inventory, and collaboration across Pharmacy Operations and other departments. Travel will be required for clinic needs (75–100% weekly).

Qualifications

• Pharmacy technician certification (PTCB) required; experience in clinical setting preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
• IV sterile admixture experience preferred; strong knowledge of aseptic technique.

Responsibilities

• Review medication orders to ensure accuracy and determine products needed.
• Perform calculations for admixture of ordered medications.
• Prepare sterile and non-sterile medications as ordered by the prescriber.
• Don PPE and maintain aseptic technique for hazardous and non-hazardous drugs.
• Maintain records and logs for clinical trials, waste, and environmental controls.
• Order, stock, and dispense medical supplies and drugs; monitor temperatures.
