Job summary

Mercy Health's Springfield Regional Medical Center is seeking a Pharmacist to perform medication management to ensure safe, rational, and cost-effective therapy in collaboration with the pharmacy team and clinicians.

The role requires an ACPE-accredited degree (BS or PharmD), state licensure, and 2 years of acute care experience. Leadership experience is preferred; familiarity with EPIC EHR and regulatory compliance is valued.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS or PharmD (required)
• Advanced pharmacy degree – Doctor of Pharmacy, Masters, Residency (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Process orders and provide medication review for safety and efficacy
• Ensure accurate preparation of compounded and non-compounded products
• Oversee pharmacy operations to ensure timely medication availability
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff
• Maintain inventory security and accountability
• Identify and document adverse medication events and trend reports
• Provide patient medication education to improve adherence
• Communicate with pharmacy team, providers, patients and families
• Participate in medication safety, QA, drug utilization reviews and dosing decisions
